Under dash set up - What are these?

thanks for that Jas......reason for asking is that something under there (and i am guessing on that plate) is making some horrible electrical sort of grinding/screaching type sound on WOT and on vacuum, including standstill at times. I'm sure there was a faint electrical burning smell after driving it on Saturday morning.

Any likely candidates or places to look? Everything works and the car isn't holding back but something definately doesnt sound right under the dash area drivers side...?

Dave - I can't think of any relay that is activated at WOT and vacuum that would make such a sound if it was flickering.

Only noise I have heard on mine very occasionally is the contact sparking for the 1st radiator fan speed when it cuts in - sitting in traffic typically - Pretty sure I only hear that cos all my trim is out from that corner of the car.

If time permits this week - I'll start the relay & fuse compendium with the 1991 3B - this is as good an excuse as any.

As promised, here is a start on the fuse info - MY91 Coupe - which I only have partial schematics for right now... Many things like wipers, windows and other general stuff come from the 1990 binder which I don't have yet. 1992 onwards will be easier.

So if the '91 Coupe owners can help fill in the blanks for now that would be good.
