What? You don't trust me?

My feelings are hurt forever.

Okay, I'm over it.
Yes 893971974 is the correct part number for the MFTS connector. Since I answered the original post March 22, 2009, I have researched *EVERY* connector and every device in the UrS4/S6 AAN Engine Bay Harness to produce this for future reference.
Happy now?

I still need to finish this! Buying the wire and pins from Audi is expensive. For what it is anyway. You need to cut the wire, its a pair with pins each end, and join to the loom. Note, if its all corroded like mine you will do good to ensure the MFTS is tight. A tiny leak from mine rotted the pins away before I realised.
Get a good connection too - i crimped mine and already had to pull the wire that signals the ECU to boost cut, it stopped working again. Not sure why but it seems too much resistance = thinks temps are too high yet no signal is fine (Dave?)AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994

You might require prj on this one. What I know about the MFTS and its pin-outs for the 3B, ABY, AAN and ADU ECUs is in this post (which I referenced here before)

Here is a more generic review of the MFTS wiring for a 3B S2, AAN and ABY S2 (and ADU RS2):

No it was an old 4-pin that was fitted to my engine that went bang. Kept it as a spare as it only covered 200 miles... then again given the source it could have been off a 200,000 mile motor before :corey:
It gets power and gives a reading to the dash OK.AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994

I bought this brown connector recently from the Dealer as the the orignal one's tabs on the side of the connector had broken meaning I'd had to zip-tie it tight.
Wasn't dear, and gentlyly cut up the old one to break out the four connector/wires and slide them into the new brown connector. All good and tight just like new.
Worth doing to elinmate or prevent any grief caused by bad connections.
One less thing to owrry about, but still plenty of other ones.

MFTS connector
My MFTS connector fell apart
so got a new one like this: -

Then I took the old one apart by gradually breaking each pin out one at a time with a small screwdriver. Be careful and you can just slide the old contacts in until they click into the new connector like this: -
