I have problem with interior light or cabine light. When I open the door, the lights doesn't light on. But when I turn off the engine the lights are on.
That is happening on all four doors and the trunk door.
Does anyone have any idea what can be the problem with these lights?
If LHD, it is under the dash on the driver side in the AUX. fuse relay panels. But before you fiddle with the relay, I think you should check the door switches and the wiring inside the doors. Also check if the wires in the rubber bellows between door and body is frayed. It is there that you will see problems.
I'd say maybe. I had the same problem several years ago and it was the wiring. So somewhere in the circuit from the switch to the relay there is a break in the circuit. You will need a wire tester and a wiring schematic to hunt the problem down.
The interior lights are linked to the central locking pump. I had a break in the wire under the carpet leading from the fuse box to the pump. It took me 4 yrs to find it. You can find the schematics for the aby and 3b on S2central.
