Please see attached for a decent attempt at capturing S2/RS2 specific information about relay positions, purposes and part numbers. Reason for this is there is loads of confusion throughout the factory diagrams (I have them all for B3/B4) as they attempt to generalise everything for most vehicles. Some of you will have already noticed the stickers on the fusebox lid is pretty bad on the S2.
I collected much of this data myself and have validated only on a couple of cars so far. Saltinot also helped with a listing of all sorts of relay modules he found on a German forum - nothing S2 specific.
I've attached two versions and would appreciate if others can help confirm this is correct or shed any light on a few question mark items.
Few points of particular note -
1 - if you have a 1991 3B Coupe then ignore this as much of it is different and I will deal with it separately.
2 - all the manuals show use of relay position 2 in the main fusebox for some part of radiator fan circuit but this is NOT the case for S2/RS2. It appears many cars (my own included) have a relay equipped there but it is essentially just a spare relay. Loads of other engines used this position for fan relay and my bet is that the factory documentation just made all cars equipped with it regardless.
3 - particularly looking part numbers for daylight running relay and solar roof control.
PLEASE post any findings - good or bad in this thread so I can complete the list and archive it onto S2central.net for posterity as well.
Thanks in advance !
