Anyone have a how-to for the 3B battery box conversion? I was eyeballing the underseat area today and can't see how it fits Don't want to start cutting random holes in the floor.. Some pics would be good as I'm not even sure which side it goes, presume LH side.
It's on the driver's side. I can get you some pics from my ABY in the morning (unless someone already has some to hand) if it helps?
The under-seat area has a battery-shaped deformation into which it fits. I'm not sure it would just fit on a 3B. Not sure what's under that area on a 3B, if one were to cut out a hole.

I have done this mod so can hopefully offer some advice
What I did was cut a cardboard template that fitted tightly around the battery box, then used this template as a stencil to cut a hole in the floor under the rear bench. As said it goes on the passenger side roughly where the fuel filter bracket is on the 3B.
I can take plenty of pics tomorrow if it helps as i will have the car up on stands
How did you cut the floor? Drill a hole to start and then use a sabre saw? I also have to separate the box from 2" wide all round bit of floor it came with..
Alex that would be brill. The contour of the top edge of the box doesn't look like it will match up with the shape of the floor..
Found the cables too, they were with the box all along
Yup lol they was inside
and yeah just check underneath the car for anything there.
~I removed both the cables from a aby coupe today, the main feed to the starter area is a proper pita to get out and I bet a serious nightmare to put in properly.
