how to do k pin mod on urs4 please

I have read through loads of threads, but most are based on the s2, or others cut tracks to stop just the headlight sensing. So where is the relay on a urs4 that needs its k pin cut to shut up the dam bulb alarms in autocheck. All my bulbs are fine and connections good but I get random bulb warnings, some for brake lights, others for side lights. So I just want to kill all bulb warnings.

I found a relay under the bonnet in the relay box that had 2 k pins. Removing these 2 pins just give constant alarms, so is there another relay I need to adjust. Cheers des

You need to do it like this: http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/19604.phtml Works great, no warning about broken headlights but it still check the brake bulbs

Thanks for the link. But I want to disable all bulb alarms as mine sometimes tells me a brake bulb is blown when it isn't, not just headlamps. Thanks des

        1. Open the module
        2. Connect KB and KS to grund 31
        3. Cut both KB and KS conduits on the circuit board with a knife etc.
        4. Put the module back together and listen to the silence

Is there any way to get the bulb monitor to check the foglights instead of headlights?
If i replace headlights with xenons and use fogs as DRL's then it would be good to have the bulb monitor checking the fogs.

Yes but you'd have to do quite a few wiring changes bypassing the module for the two power feeds to the headlights and then changing the wiring for the fogs so it passes through the bulb check module instead of the headlights.

The wiring diagrams on S2Central.net will help you.

Good man, I completed the mod tonight and all went to plan. The autocheck says a big ok as soon as I turn the ignition on. Thanks for the help.

Right, my car still thinks I have a bulb out when I hit a bump or go round some bends. I'm thinking there is a bad connection or dry joint in the autocheck or clocks as when I hit the dash the warning sometimes starts or stops. Where should I go looking. Cheers des
