Voltage drop in Reverse

It will dip until you take the trans out of reverse. There is some kind of memory because it returned to the previously adjusted position.

Yep, My BMW had this feature.
I'm just wondering if it's possible on the RS2...

If the controller simply winds 'down' for x time, then 'up' for x time, then this function should be implementable.
If the controller looks for positional feedback from the mirror, then I fear this might not be possible with my mirrors...
I think the latter is more likely...

Well, in theory it might not be too hard to knock something up as a ghetto aftermarket* - if there's nothing we can steal off the urS4.

Any S4 guys know how theirs works?

* I am drunk. All electronic/programming tasks seem easier when drunk. Just need a transistor and a for loop.

As I suspected the clue is in the fuse data..

Fuse 12 - Instrument cluster, reverse lights, fast idle, multiple sensor, GRA, distance sensor, airbag warning lamp

So the volt meter runs off the same circuit as the reversing lights hence the volage drop when they're on. I'd bet you wouldn't see nearly as much drop at the battery terminals.

Interesting. That'll be it.
I sort of assumed that the voltmeter would show the voltage of the battery, rather than one specific fuse branch. Every day's a school day.
