    OEM looking EGT gauge

Any one know of an EGT gauge that matches the vdo gauges in looks and illumination colour?

The closest I've seen is a stack unit but its abit on the pricey side and the illumination is wrong although could probably be changed.

    Stack Gauge.

    Any help would be great!

    Tim.

I found the stack or autometer ones when I was looking for oem style.

Autometer, would need the bezel painted

Ended up this temporarily due to cost (ebay cheapy with painted bezel and fitted red led to replace blue

Cheers andy, I saw that gauge in your build thread. How well does it illuminate with the new LED in?

The matching VDO kit is available. List price is $195 but you'd get it cheaper for sure. There's not AFR gauge in the Vision series though

Illumination is a bit trial and error, it comes with blue LEDs which are shockingly bright, makes the car undrivable at night. The original LEDs are mounted into a circuit board behind the face, I cut the power feed to them and mounted red LEDs behind the circuit board, they give an oh amount of light, though even distribution is a bit trial and error.

It is just a plain face that is lit up though, not like stock where the light comes through the scale.

Are you still thinking of doing EGT faces? Or does cost/demand not make sense just now?

I think one of these will be on the shopping list at some point, white face black bezel should look ok

Well, I have an EGT gauge and probe coming over with the boost gauges...

Annoyingly, VDO don't do a lambda gauge in the vision series, that I can find anyway.

Looking at the AEM products, you can easily remove the dial faces (unlike the VDO ones!) and so an (R)S2 replica face could be made up to fit and then installed easily. The only issue is that the bezel will be marginally different to the rest of the VDO gauges and going for a set of 3 AEM gauges would not make financial sense over a zeitronix all-in-one setup.
