The only new heat shields are the two on the chassis below the turbo.

All of the other aluminium shields I had powder coated in mirror finish.

Cheaper than buying new and looks bling

Whilst I was changing the turbo, I had all the big Al components sand blasted and then aqua blasted. Also, had all the steel backets, strut brace etc gloss black powder coated.
I'm pleased with the result, especially as it was fairly easy and cheap to do.

Those refurbished heat shields look great, thanks for the heads up, and the link.

OT a bit, but did using only the ignition key sort the engine cut out problem or is it too soon to say ?

Looking forward to your feedback on here after the remapping.
