    cleaning / re-greasing stalk switches

In the process of stripping my stalk switches to clean the contacts and going to regrease them - does it need any special type of grease for this kind of thing with electrical contacts etc?

Alex, I think you could safely apply a dielectric grease inside the stalk. You should be able to buy it from the likes from RS or Maplin.

Are these stalks a serviceable item for us ? My Avant's rear screen wash doesn't trigger, but the wiper does.

Can they be taken apart or serviced with say a cocktail sausage stick ?

            Any photos from anyone ?

            Thanks.

yes they are pretty straight forward, a little fiddly to put back together. I can take some pics if you're interested

I would be interested in photos.

Everyone on here loves photos, but are too shy to admit it.

                Thanks.
