    board computer gasoline consumption issue

    Hi All,

here is the situation, I have board computer on the dashboard, the used to work with the standard ECU, however after upgrading the ECU with megasquirt, now the gas consumption cannot be calculated. This is natural, because there is no signal going to the board computer, so the questions is:
Is there a way to use something to work as a gas consumption signal that can be installed as a 3rd party on the car ?
Where does the signal comes from (I presume the standard ECU)

    Cheers !

    Yes, the ECU. Pin 31.

The signal is apparently related to injector pulse width.

Yeah but it's not a modular output vems have been trying to replicate it for a while

okey so to put it this way, is there some solution where I can plug pin 13 into some module that would make it work again ?

On cars with k-jetronic it's just a potmeter attached to the k-jet plate so must be regulated only with voltage, no pulse signal. So maybe pulsewidth only is a way to regulate input voltage? If so it should be possible to use an output to get a usable signal.

can I use some part of the k-jet in order to get the signal I need for the board comp, or something else ?

You can't use the k-jet parts, but you can measure the signal on a k-jet car and then try to use an output to make a signal that replicate that signal.
