  • Water temp alarm on Autocheck on!

My Autocheck keeps beeping at me comes on and beeps a few seconds after starting up and stays on.
Level is ok, and the water temp guage is working fine and reaches a nice temperature and maintains it.
Ive checked all the plugs on the expansion tank and rad to ensure no loose connections. could it be a dicky sensor somewhere. The rad and expansion tank have been empty for over 2 years so some corrosion is inevitable.
    What could i be checking?

Yeah I had to change mine a while back, just gave up for no reason other than age. IIRC the switch is open in its normal state so disconnecting it should stop the false alarm

Unplug the level sender and if that solves it thats your issue.

If that the warning is still on the unplug the mfts and see if it goes away.

If it's the MFTS try tapping it with a long socket bar or similar, there's a spring contact inside the sensor that gets a bad connection, a sharp tap or two can often get it going again.. Easier than unplugging it!

Cheers Newsh! I disconnected the header tank level and it's not that. So must be the MFTS. I'll give it a light slam... Fingers crossed.
