Difference headlights Audi 80 Coupe and RS2

Someone put a post up just before Xmas about a guy who makes the metal brackets to replace these. Not sure who it was otherwise I would post it up for you. I would advise to buy those and add them instead of swapping it all out

To swap it out you need to do the following

1. pop off the 7 or so metal clips around the light and remove glass and seal
2. remove the covers/clips on the back
3. the outer chrome plastic bit just pops off as its a push fit design
4. remove the sidelight and aim adjustment fittings by twisting/remove
5. remove the two spade connections on the housing
6. use a pair of grips to twist the big light fitting so it pops out
7. use a 10mm socket/spanner to wind out the adjusters to remove the main reflector

think thats it from memory, takes no time at all to do.

However he no longer has the trim mounts listed on Ebay. I have sent him a message via Ebay so lets wait and see.

Just seems a shame to pull apart two brand new headlights is all when you can get the metal brackets to make them perfect and dare I say it most likely stronger than the plastic, original items for the headlight strips.

Got a reply from the Ebay seller. He should still have these metal brackets available. Will keep you posted.
