    S2 coupe battery bracket

    Hello,

Im planning to convert my NG coupe quattro to 3b. I know that in S2 the battery is located in the trunk, but I dont know where exactly..

Its there any kind person enough to make me some photos of original S2 battery bracket, its position, etc... ?

Or is there anybody who did this rebuild to provide me some info ?

    Thank you

Battery for a 3b is under the bonnet, passenger side. Think it is under rear seat for ABY but someone else will confirm or put me right on that.

Its make thing easier I thought there wont be to much space for it.

Why is another location for ABY and for 3B ? the engines are almost the same... ?

to give more space under the bonnet for working on aby's when they pack up unlike the reliable 3b's

Here are some shots with crude dimensions to give you an idea where it is on an aby coupe under the rear seat.

As measured from the seat belt bolt on the right of the battery box.

From back of the battery box.

No that's spot on thanks.... Changing my fuel lines has spiralled into

Charcoal canister removal, fuel tank breather tank removal, PTFE braided fuel lines, fuel tank modification and battery te location....

Ill be at it until the small hours I think

                              Nothings ever simple

Why the PTFE braided lines? I know you said in another thread they were now your preference, but not why.
