aux gauges not lit

Hi all

two of the three gauges not back lit when lights are on, so want to sort em out, any ideas before I start to push me in the right direction ? thanks your help

If one still lights up then the bulbs have failed in the other two. It's a little bit of a fiddle but their easy enough to change.

I had this in my old coupe, one was not lit, but still worked. Even after replacing the bulb and eventually the guages (they were flaking anyway) one still wouldn't illuminate.

There's a relay-looking 'illumination booster' behind the guages. Replacing this sorted mine. I've a spare if you diagnose this as the problem.

Must be #9 in this pic IIRC and is in the loom for the aux gauges:

check your reg plate lights are on. the fuse for these also does the aux guage illumination. the glove box switch in mine shorts and pops the fuse. Think it common and seem to think it fuse 5... or might be 5 amp fuse.

scrap that just read it properly most likely bulbs.
