    Crank reluctor sensor

I'm trying to confirm whether the later model VW crank reluctor sensors such as the one I have here operate the same as the S2 sensor on the flywheel.

    Something like this?

    Pin 1- 0v reference
    Pin 2- Signal
    Pin 3- Ground

Anyone else know much about these sensors?

I guess you'd need to test them on an oscilloscope to be sure, but maybe Prj knows?

I did some reading and as I understand there must be a coil inside with the permanent magnet, the dc resistance on pins 1 and 2 showed this. I might take it to work when I'm there next and test it with the cro to make sure.

Cheers for that info I'm measuring similar values across pins 1 and 2 , but reading about 25mohm across pin 3 to both other pins. I'll see how I go when I take it into work for testing.
