    Electric Window Gremlins?

I have a similar problem on my S2 Avant that used to happen on my Coupe, upon entry and start up the electric windows don't work, but after around a minute or sometimes a bit longer they start working??

Even more annoying now they stopped working all together and one rear window is stuck half open and even more annoying its now Fr*ckin raining

My S2 ownership goes from one problem to another

    Any ideas please people?

Check the relay, and also given the weather in the UK right now you can try changing the thermal fuse, this will disable all windows and the sunroof if it decides to

Cheers guys I'll have a look when it stops raining, I'm certainly not driving it with a bag taped over the window, not a great look, although I'd probably prefer to drive it like that than drive this car lol...

im having the same issue with my 80tdi. to shut the window i resorted to giving the thick red possibly red/black behind the rubber boot in the door shut 12v then switch away oh, i cut the protective cover back but a pin should poke through the cover then just stick 12v to that

I agree, check the relay VERY carefully for dry solder joints.

I'm installing 4x electric windows to my 80 competition sedan '94. I have wiring loom for the lifters and mirrors, where I can find the connectors from car? Connections X and Q10

Q10 = (Positive (+) connection (87), in window lifter/ and sliding roof central locking and door contact switch wiring loom)
