Back to bulb colours.
I got the red bulbs from ebay. I need to find bulb holders though as the originals are crimped and soldering the bulbs in is a PITA.
But the red bulbs make everything look red so well worth doing.

It interested to see that your printed circuit board was well and truly f**ked up. This is what had to be replaced on mine when the speedo stopped working. The guy at Crawley Audi said they were prone to cracking and they had replaced numerous ones on 80s/Coupes/Cabriolets etc. I think a new one was about £90
, but luckily the warranty company paid for mine. So all that time you spent with the soldering iron was well worth it.

I am getting some blue and amber bulbs and generic holders from the ebay supplier to test out - what a cool ebay supplier I'll post the results of the different bulbs as soon as I get them

Any idea if the bulbs in the S2 for illumination are the same ones for the A4??? I have to do beckys car and if i can buy a load of bulbs for 3 quid and not just 2 then that would be coolsigpic

Never had an A4 dash out - check etka tom? My old A4 had a very red set of dials etc - maybe they are LEDs in newer cars? Worth checking out.

I just had to take out my dash because of a peeling speedo making the speedo stick, so I ordered up some red LED's and they look fine with no bright patches and a nice even bright glow, only thing it was pain in the **** getting them all in the right way round (polarity), but happy with them.

Time to pull the A4 apart. Damn. Didnt want to do it, but im being hassled!!! Gonna order a load of bulbs and just change them all. Im not doing this more than once.sigpic
