    Fitting ellipsoids to 3B

    Hi Guys

Just wanted to check, when fitting ellipsoids to a 3B is there any wiring modding required, I read that when you have full beam on the dipped lights switch off, is this a problem... or am I ok leaving it as is?

    Cheers

Do the pin swap, takes less than 15 minutes, steering wheel off, unplug the stalks, swap the pin and refit.

You want as much light as possible, also if you run HID I understand you dont want to switch them on and off all the time.

i did it a few weeks ago, i dont know how yours will have worked if it wasnt done.
Anyway here is a pic of the multiplug off the back of the light stalk.
You need to remove the yellow wire at the top (position 7) and put it where the green arrow is (position 8).
If you start to prise the 2 parts of the plug apart is should just pop out, dont seperate them fully or all the wires will come out causing big problems if you dont know where they all were.

Put the brown/yellow wire in pin position 1 as per the above pic and then move the yellow wire in pos 7 to pos 8.

Leave the tabs where they are and buy a pair of under light trims from someone on here.

Yes this, don't cut your ellipsoids up!!!

I have a pair of very tidy Laser red headlight trims you can have for a tenner.

Thought I'd better get round to doing the pin swap on my S2, I'm sure when I did the swap on my 10 valve Coupe there wasn't the large yellow/green earth in position 1. It doesn't seem to be there on lagz33's car either.

Where do I put the large earth?

                    Help!!!
