Tubing identification

Can anyone tell me what this tubing is for and what it should connect to? Current runs from the passenger side, along the scuttle and judging by the 90 degree fitting on the end, would once have entered (or exited) the engine bay through a rubber grommet beside my finger in the second photo. The tubing is similar to washer tubing

strange car battery setup.... that rubber hubing, may me the activ coal tubin... ( some unit who take out the petrol gasses; maybee)

I'm pretty sure that 90 deg fitting is for a battery vent. The fact that it's clear plastic tubing would back that up

Battery vent. It runs down out behind the passenger wing

Any details of the system in place\action?

Have a look at the end of the battery near the terminal, if there's a hole there the right angle thing should plug in. Some newer batteries need an adapter though which is a little oblong thing with the spigot to attach the tube.

100% battery vent. Possible to find the place to connect it to the battery ( is o a side very close to the upper edge)

Here is the recess in the end of the battery, note the tiny blanking plug.



Here is the little adapter thing that fits in the recess for the tube to connect to.

never seen this place to have the battery in ...
