Would a suitably sized capacitor work? IIRC they "block" the circuit so would need to be in parallel
I guess converting to LED lamps would be adviseable to reduce the wattage?

Look for some project books by a guy called Forest Mims. I got a good education in basic electronics by reading his stuff. There are electrical circuit projects that use the 555 chip that are listed in his books. https://www.google.com/search?q=fore...en-US:official

Yes. Fading interior lights, fade-in on unlock, flipblade remote and much more
These pumps are used on D2 A8 so basically you can get all of features A8 has. There's a huge list of these pumps, but only few of them offers full functionality (like the one with part number ending with "G"). Some of them are missing remote, some of them missing anti-theft and so on. Writeup about this is in process but because lack of time, pictures and the fact that English is not my native language, it takes a bit more time than it should.
I've had 2 S2s, the first one had some some kind of light delay function that turned off the interior light automatic after about one minute, and far back in my head i vaguely remember that it had some function that faded the lights on and off as well.. ?
My current S2 has just plain turn off\on lights as you open and close the door. Looking for a way to upgrade that function so it behaves like my last S2.. is the central locking pump the key to this?
