I have a fault with my central locking system that's proving hard to trace. Fuse 19 blows as soon as the drivers door is unlocked, if one replaces the fuse it blows again straight away while being fitted unless the drivers door is locked. If the drivers door is locked it doesn't blow but the central locking still doesn't work from the passenger door, which it use to.
The fault has been present for some time and I thought I'd be able to get to the bottom of it whilst changing the door cards etc last weekend, had a good look at the wiring checking for damage to insulation, all good. I don't have an alarm fitted and I did a tidy job of repairing the loom of it's various bodge's years ago and the locking was fine till recently.
I'm thinking a wire must be earthing in the drivers door or the shut but can't see anything.
Any suggestions welcome, I'm not that hot at electrics and I have a really bad head cold that's probably lowering my IQ by about 50 points so I'm struggling a little.
I'm 100% sure it's something simple.
