    Dead dashlights.

So dashlights have blown (clocks heater controls etc) fuse 12 and 14 okay got +12v on both fuse positions glovebox light and fuse also okay.
Kinda desperate what with it being dark early now.

Might be the dimmer module in the clocks, they do go.

Is number plate light working? Same fuse as dash lights so I believe.

Yes it is working, I think the issue is in the clocks, I've swapped out a spare set of clocks and everything works, I swapped the rheostat around thinking that was the problem as Newsh suggested but unfortunately not.

On a mrk2 golf there was a 3 leg regulator chip that could die. Not sure if the s2 is the same but worth a look.
