central locking on the wind up

My avant keeps on locking itself!! I left thr key in the door in lock position in both doors and all it did was turn it back into centre position and then lock the car anyway. Any ideas would be great, thanks.

Find the radio code. Disconnect battery. Wait 5 minutes. Reconnect battery. Should reset the central locking system. Enter radio code.

I've been leaving the battery disconnected between times currently, I will try that though.

Short in wiring in rubber bellows in drivers door jam?

Damage to wiring under carpet in drivers side footwell, water in the cables leading to central locking pump?

I had the carpet out recently to clean it after a bad leak from the cabin air input bulkhead gasket so it shouldnt be too bad having a look at the wiring.

I am convinced that this car sulks every time I have re-taxed it after a SORN.

This week its been the crank pulley, fuel line leak and central locking, luckily I had the key on me when it went at a time I would not usually have took it out. After 7 years of ownership I still think it is a great car but this week is stretching it
