Problem with start after engine rebuild

    Hello guys,

I need an advice. I have rebuilt the engine ( it took me 1 year ). I have changed turbo for bigger one (3071R) and purchased the chip kit from 034.
The engine is supplied with 7A camshafts.

I cant start the engine. Everything is connected correctly. With new chips - no spark and no fuel. If I change the chips for the standard one, I have a spark and fuel, but it cant fire up ( sometimes there is a ignite, but sometimes it ignites against starter ).

I have also checked if the timing is good and it seems that is. The basic advance seems to be at the 12 mark on flywheel.

Only one thing which I noticed is the slow cranking (but I really dont remember how it cranks year ago). The battery is okay, and I even use a another battery connected to the main. But no change.

How fast should the starter motor spin ? Is it possible its not enough to crank the engine ? Is it also possible that the 034 chips have some safety feature that it wont ignite and open the injection until there is some RPM value ?

Thanks for any advice, as Im lost.

    Radek

do you have a decent groundkable from engine to chassis?
if the engine going slow around it could be your starter
a video while your cranking woud be helpful

          Hello guys,

so it was the crankposition sensor. I have changed it for the crankspeed sensor, and I was able to start the engine ( with missing signal from crankspeed ).

It can start on standard chip, but no spark on the 034 motorsport chip, nevertheless injectors are working. Is it possible they have some safety feature ?

          Thanks,
          Radek
