    LED Interior Lights

I'm replacing the interior lights in my RS2 with LEDs. I've managed to get the lenses and metal shields of the reading light on the paassenger side but the interior light lens in the centre by the rear view mirror is proving stubborn. Any tips?

Lens, surround and switch come out as one piece IIRC.

There are 2 sorts of interior light. Sunroof or solid roof.

tgere is a spring clip at the rear on both IIRC the back comes out first.

BA9 for the ones at the side by the grab handles - I bought red for all of them except the map light on the passenger side, looks really cool and saves your night vision a bit . Rob at Ultraleds.co.uk does a nice bright "superior" version which is a cluster of 6 LEDs - or you can have a big single but I found that a bit low on power.

The main courtesy light at the front is a 41-44mm Dome (festoon)... again I went for red but Rob does all colours. Nice guy to deal with too, I buy wholesale quantities of Maglite upgrades from him for my website at www.ColdSpark.co.uk if that isn't too dodgy a plug for my own wares!

                Jamo,
                I have these in mine.
I'm assuming you have the same interior lights as me; One light on the sunroof control panel and one above the rear seats.
If yours is the same as mine, these are the correct size (11mm x 42mm festoon).

Note, they give off a "very" different light to a standard filament bulb, sort of a white/blue-ish colour.
If you also want one for the boot, then you need this one (11mm x 38mm) as the boot bulb is slightly short than the interior ones.

Check the guy's shop here. NCTS other than I've used his stuff.

I've nearly finished replacing all the filament bulbs inside the car with LED's.

These are the Ultraleds.co.uk ones, they seem to have more, but smaller LEDs...

The one's I'm really looking forward to doing are the dash backlights, I have several gone already. Given LEDs with 50,000+ hour life this should only need doing once, that's seriously handy considering the time involved.
                          Cheers,
