headlights short distance and long distance mode

Hi,

how can I mod the headlights, so that when long beams are used, the short range beam to remain on.
At present using the long range headlights is switching off the short range lights.

That would be a relay.

My car has this mod done, but I don't know the first thing about it; the previous owner did the work when he installed RS2 lights.

I hardly doubt, because I used to have old light switches that did the job. Once I changed them, they stopped working. I bet it is the switch...

I believe there is a mod to do at the wiring of the stalk/switch. With xenon lights I had the same issue in my elipsoid eguipped cabriolet, switching from high to low beam resulted in driving in the dark until the xenon lights were warmed up again.
