Maybe you can help me out - my burned resistors are the ones next to the one that burned in yours! Like you the resistor is too fried to see the colours!
I have ordered new transistors but struggling with these resistors!

    Thanks

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, but isn't that a zener diode thats been fried rather than a resistor?

Yes it's definitely a zener diode. They usually, but not always, have some legible text on it to identify it.

Use a diode checker on it to see if it's short circuit or not. If not, follow this guide.

            Cheers Rob
I got the other one out - its different. It's blue & says ZPY, 27 & ITT on it.
Any pointers? I'm way out of my depth here

ZPY27 means it's a 27V zener and the manufacturer is ITT. They should be easy enough to source.

              Here you go:
              http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/zener-diodes/8133928/

99 more than you might need but they are inexpensive.

We have been down this road before. Avantus led the charge:

                "This is from Avantus:

"It was a 27V 1.3Watt zener diode. When removed the old one also clearly had "27" on it. So with ZPY27 27V zener diode your typical electronics shop will know enough.

Very important to make sure that your new diode is installed in the correct direction. There is a black ring on the diode and that has to be facing downwards near the transistor it sits against. Also make sure that on the back when resoldering the joints, you make sure the transistor and the nearest leg are connected. The other leg has to be connected with the resistance on it's left."

Great thanks for the pointers chaps. Got the components on order. Going to replace the transistors too.
                  Will report back

i suggest to check also the transistor. you must dismount it, than can be checked with a multimeter

Well I got 50 of these diodes, deliery cost way ore than the components!
So they worked out like 15p each.. If anyone wants one, just ask

Hi! Yes I replaced the diode and transistor and the module is working as it should
I am using a lower temp trigger switch (95deg) and it kicks in most times after a hot run as I hoped.
