Ignition Module Switch Audi 7A 20V - where is placed?

    Hello

I have a b4 with a 7A motor swap and i have big problems with starting the engine, a lot of no start, or hard starting and misfiring.

I've changed almost all the stuff, OE or Bosch
    - new dizzy, correct alignment
    - new sensors (the two from flywheel and the coolant sensor from the back)
    - new coil
    - ignition contact
    - ECU
    - pin from the FW it is ok
    - battery it is ok

Knock sensors - didn't changed but i don't belived that they influence the start of motor.

All the wiring, from ECU to sensors, to coil, to MAF, to ground - everything is ok but no spark, or hard and random starting. When i have spark and finally the motor start the idle is ok, engine is running ok. If i stop and i want to start again - i have no spark..it's a crazy

The problem is that the spark from the coil is random, i have the power on coil but no start or spark. I've seen one thing: when i turn on the contact the voltage is low (9.4-9,5V)

I read a lot on the forums and the problems could be from the ignition module switch (amplifier), but the problems is that i didn't fiind this module in my car. Maybe previous owner miss to put when the swap was made?

Please help with a picture in order to know where should be placed,

    Thank you very much!
    Mihai

One thing to check is the wiring inside the boot of the connector at the distributor. If that is damaged, you will not get spark

Are you sure it is not a fuel problem?

Can be a fuel problem if i have no spark from the coil?
The fuel pump is working, fuel pressure ok

Agree. 7A's had a 8A0905105 coil with attached power output stage (POS) module. Yours might be dead.
