Are you sure it's not one of the tiny connectors?

If it is the actual dial and not the wiring, I can't imagine you could repair it easily.

I have checked for maniacal damage but nothing visible.
I also swapped the plugs around and all good.

          Plasma dial not working

Don't think there's anything that can go wrong with the dial itself so must be either the connection to the tiny plug or at the dial end and I can't remember how the connection is made to the dial, is it soldered? If you can get to the connection at the dial I would check the wire for continuity to there.
You'll have to snip the heat shrink off at the dial.

I have opened the black heat shrink and the three wires are soldered to dial.
No visible broken or lose wires and the continuity checks out.
It has to be dead plasma.

              Cheers

I did not buy them direct from Bo, I got the whole speedo from flebay.

Are the small wires soldered to the dial, as a last attempt it might be worth trying to re-flow them with a dab of fresh solder, be quick, just enough to melt. If you can find some old school solder with lead in then use that, it melts at a lower temp and is more resistant to vibration.
If that doesn't work then I guess something must have gone wrong within the laminations.

Sorry to hijack thread but I have a set of these myself that I want to fit ,was wondering could anyone advise me on the wiring procedure .
All I have is the clocks with the 4 main looms coming out of the clocks each with a 3 pin plug ,can I wire these direct in 2 any 12v loom on the dash or will I require some other hardware that I'm missing, many thanks paul.

My one comes with transformer/gear box. You connect four dial to transformer then transformer to the back of speedo.

No, it's a high voltage needed to run them (you get a proper belt off it if you touch the live wires)
