Does anyone have any pics of how they've Discretely mounted their HID ballasts ? Last time I fitted a set I just left the ballast lose but oils like something a little more substantial / pretty
    Thanks in advance

You can just about to see them, then are glued on to the plastic panels behind headlamps.

Smaller than a matchbox 'ballast' that can fit inside the headlight assembly.

They look good. Will try them for the dogs. I already have the hids4u kit for the headlights. Ballasts are nice and slim

I have one under the airbox and one on a home made bracket next to the ps reservoir.

Those linked to above...do they actually fit in an s2 projector headlamp...they look massive?

I fitted a new kit to the avant today, one ballast on the plastic panel in front of the PS reservoir
One on the plastic panel below the air box intake.

                  2 self tappers each

Are the LED's getting any better? I tried them 12 months ago and the light output was pants!

Can I just check, have you fitted this kit to S2 projector headlights? If so is it straight forward, and easy to do? Do the ballast's fit in the headlight assembly?

                      Many thanks.

The bulb has a heatsink with a fan.
So I would think you have to leave the cover off the back of the headlight, or cut a hole in the cover?

Macspring, how did you fit these?

I use those double sided sticky pads for mounting number plates to hold mine down, they work a treat

That was what i figured you would need to do...not ideal really. Will look for a solution which enables me to use the covers as i am now with the current old hids
