    Sidelight bulb

I just had to replace a front sidelight bulb for the first time and had one of those "technically impressed" moments when I realised there were no wires going to the bulb holder! I'm amazed I never noticed this before.

    Cool.

    Haha!

I also had to take out the whole headlight to get to it as it was the turbo side.. which reminded me.. Both my headlight shells are damaged and held still with self tappers through the plastic at the top. Are they expensive? And would you go for changing to the ones with the lenses (elypsoids) in if replacing?

    Headlights aren't that dear :eek2:

But if you have to replace them, buy the later headlamps. Much better beam pattern and light output.

I assume it was Martyn ? who said that light output from elipsoids is worst than from old style headlights(on the HID thread??). But I can be wrong.

Anyway I would go for new elipsoids. They are 225$/each where I live. Could be cheaper for you. And if you will go for a xenons in the future , than they are MUST !

At Billing this year, all the HIDs lined up with a standard elipsoidal S2. There was a big difference but Mark then left and his standard non-ellipsoidals were pretty impressive - maybe too many
