Hi,
Just found this turbo on bay of fleas.
Not intended to buy or advertise it, but does such hybrid (k26/k29) is sane ? I mean cold side is huge (somebody called K27 truck turbo, and this is k29 ...), and hot side is small.
Seller says in description http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...tem=7985849008
that this turbo starts spinning at 2900rpm providing some of boost. Also figures like 2.9 bar overboost sounds like absolute pressure. Or can it be real 2.9 bar ? What fuel ppl should use on such high boost ?
I'm just wondering, what consequences can be when "marrying" such different turbo sides. Whilst understanding, that it is for driveability - I suspect excessive hot side wear and high backpressure. Am I right ?

I think he would have needed a 4" D/P to make it work 100% effectivly. Back pressure would be a issue if the D/P and system wasn't big enough.
