7A also has sodium filled valves. The only difference is the water manifold, and the 7A only has 2 studs per exhaust port.Mark Siggelkow

So...it appears that the 7A head can be used with just the machining for the water manifold. I have one with all the studs, like the 3B/ABY. I would like to get a nice valve job done prior to removing the head off my 3B, but I'd been concerned about the valves because they have a different part number. They are definately sodium filled, so what's the difference? Is anyone running a complete 7A head with high HP??91 Modded 3B

Did those heads have the cast manifold? Both of mine had the tubular manifold.Originally posted by martinjsNot all of them, i have a 7a head and the studs are the same as the S2, seen a few like this.

I was wrong - just checked - the ones with the cast exhaust manifold have all the studs. The ones with the tubular manifold have 2 studs per port. A bit more machining required on the tubular manifold heads then.
