boost presure off the WG spring

if i disconnect my boost line to my ecu,

put my std wastegate spring back in with no compression on it

what will my car boost to?

if i then wind compression on the spring will this then hold the boost at a higher pressure?

before anyone rips my head off i KNOW this isnt the normal way people do it on an S2

and i KNOW there are better ways to do it

and i KNOW there is then no overboost protection

i just want to try something

    cheers
    will

The standard car on WG spring pressure should boost about 0.4bar with no overboost if thats what you mean?

In my experience it doesn't make much difference. Maybe a little less lag though! Got a 0.9-1 bar spring if that helps you??

            Hi

You are correct in saying increasing the pre load will increase boost pressure but you may need to change the spring to get to a higher boost
Running off the spring alone will reduce the turbo spool up speed as the wastegate will start to crack open at about half the rated spring preload pressure without any help from the WGFV and ecu to keep it shut
