STAY AWAY FROM EUROSPEC, PLEASE!!!! Its truly crap.

Whats important to know is that the bolts are the the most important bits in a conrod. You'll see that when buying bolts for a conrod prices vary from 150 euro's to crazy money.....
I have Pauters and am very pleased with them. The bolts were swapped for other ones (stronger)

Ya! PLUS he started out working for Eurospec. I'd say the 590+whp he makes on those "crappy" rods are proof they are not crap! I'm not sure how Eurospec got the bad rap, but I don't think they deserve it.

According to the reference book I have, 4340 falls into range of 36CrNiMo4 and 40NiCrMo6, with 40NiCrMo6 being the more direct equivalent.

After receiving 15 rods from Eurospec, ALL were different in the small-end and the big-end
Some of them the piston pens couldn't fit, and others the pens were ratling around Shot-peened was also crap, on the inside of the U-profile they weren't shot. No way I was going to put that in my engine.

I have Carrillos in my motor. The quality is excellent, like the Paulter rods. They required a very small adjustment to balance on two rods, however, this was by a couple of 10ths of a gram. The measurements for little end was spot on. I've heared a few stories of rods with bad machining on the little ends, looks like some manufacturers expect you to ream them to the correct size? Not what I'd expect for the money they cost!

Heard the Same from a Guy in germany about the carillos! He had to work on all the rods in order to fit them! He said the best about the Sten Parner( some of his friends have used them) and they where perfect!
