What Turbo for a Stroker?

Hallo people i was looking at the Turbos the people use in Strokers and i was also playing with The Turbo Calculator and noticed the folowing:

If i am using the tools and maps the right way then with a 95,5 stroker with the GT30R and GT35R turbos for exsample we have a big and strong low to midrange and then it falls masively!

What is going on?? Is it like this or i just can't use the Excel with the maps??

What are you people use in your Strokers?? Please if it is posible post compressor maps too!

I would def go bigger than 30r man, they are small even for 2l 4 cyl, man up and go bigger.... its always better:mischeif:

I use gaart gt35bb and it is too small with 0.82 hot side...

makes 605 hk and 775 nm, the turbo can not delevery more power, soo is going for a bigger one...

Do you have somewhere more infos on your engine (Block, crankshaft, rod length ect)!

How does it look on the cylinderhead? I have heard that if the power goes very high (temperatures too) then they tend to crack or to melt near the Plugs and the exhaust valves!

What do you think about the Holset HX35??
it is a relative cheap turbo and seems like it is good even for 700 HP in the Stroker 2,5 liter!!

On the Excel it seem to give ca. 1 Bar at 2500 and 2 bar in 4000 RPM!

Is there any problem because it is only Oil cooled??

hx35 will not go past 500 horses but its good one for that, it takes lot of abuse, its made to last and be abused in everyday in big diisel trucks and other machines. I use hx40 that is maxed out at 650 horses, never got even near that 1,4bar of boost gave just over 500 horses.

i have a compressor map for holsets and it seem that if you use the Excel spreadsheet then it seems nice for good over 600 HP!

What Exhaustside do you have?? I am talking about these American Cummin Holsets!
Is there a problem that they are only Oil Cooled?

I used very large housing for lack of possibilities, little laggy was the setup.

I have one hx35 on shelf, it has ( if my memory servers me right) 54/57 in/ext
That is not enough for 700horses what ever your excel says. My hx40 has 60/65 and that is for well over 600 but still not willing to believe anything over 650.

For the hx40 series there is only one diameter for the coldside, is there more diameters for the hx35? I bet Palle has around 60-62mm diameter and he has maxed it out, no way almoust 1 centimeter smaller in diameter will go so far.

When do you have full Boost with the HX35 and when with 40?

I made saome calculations based on those hx35 maps. Around 580 Hp is maximum that they can give (black line on the map).

The black is the HY35!

Can you give me the details so i can see how do you calculated it???

i will use the garret gt 4082 with 0.94hot side.....from a volvo fl10 can go for 2,2bar....650hp+
