If you are so ignorent that only thing that mattes is when full boost is achieved, by kkk k-03 I bet you will not never get quicker spool up. And for that knowing you are not interested how fast your car is, only boost meter performace.

Comparing turbos just wathichg what number housings they have give you now idea how they perform. First and foremost diameter of the intake rules the max output no matter what brand of turbo or number your housings are.

I bet 1000 pounds that hx35 with 54mm intake and normal pump gas will never under any conditions produce over 700 horses below 8000rpm.

Heh, you can start teaching Palle to change smaller hx35 becouse according to you it gives more power than his current gt35 and being smaller, better spool, way to go!

My Friend, First of all because i am ignorant i ask something in the Forum!

The HX35 and HY35 are not housing differences but different Turbos! They are like Garret T03, T04, ect!

I dont bet anything on turbos! If i had money to bet then i would also have money to test different turbos!

I cant teach nobody but as far as i can tell you neither!

      Cheers,

      Vasilis

ok, not familiar with hy model, only what I had was h2e and hx40 istalled and this hx35 was going to be in friends stroker, but project was canceled.

(I think they talk diesel engine powers there)

They are not listing any hy models. Damn they should also tell kind of turbine/compressor wheels are awailable.

Billman, you can change engine displacement to that xls-file, but it won't change max hp you get, only the rpm at wich it will be achieved.

When does the HX35 give 1 bar and when 2 (at what RPM)?What engine displacement?
How much can it push in bar in the RPM LImiter?

everywhere i see these turbos they say they ae good for 550 HP. Does anyone else has experience with them?

You where right, i had an error in the Excel File i have used so the calculations where not correct! The HX35 will do 505 HP according to the file!

Does anyone have a H1E and a HX40 Compressor map?

So, according to infos gathered in the Ebay, the HX40 comes with 57mm and 60 mm intake! For what is the 57mm good?

Does someone knows when will the HX40 with this 57mm intake spool with the 14ccm2 Turbine housing from Holset in an audi Stroker?

                Thanks for your help

think the 14ccm 2 are too small for the stroker, you have to use 16ccm2.
"leif b" on the www.savarturbo.se use the hx40 with 16 housing on 2liter 4syl audi 80Q...9500rpm,a really quick one.

http://www.savarturbo.se/?nomenu=1&s...a.php&bil=leif its written in swedish....the car have over 300000km on the neck, with tranny and rear end. there are some film on the link...! look at that.
IF you have too small hot side, you will got to high pressure in the EM,then you will NOT have more hp,only high temp, and not high power. i will try to sms with the "leif b" for the power and so on.

I ageree #14 housing is too small. I had #20 and that is too large, One Finnish friend of mine maxed out #16 housing with 2.2l setup, so I would go a bit larger, but 16# is good place to begin.

I have not seen or hear of 57mm wheel on hx40 but that doesnt mean they don't exist
650 is biggest dyno sheet I have seen (on bmw) Seen lot of +500 sheets, but
If you want the 1bar boost the quickest way, dont buy big turbo. Catepillar has very good point, It might get quicker spoolup by choosing smaller exhaust housing but that will cut your max hp radically, and even bigger problem, it will make rpm area very narrow.

So if you need use too small housing to keep the spooling good, why dont you just put smaller turbo with good housings and get same 500 out of it.

My setup would be hx40 (60/65 wheels) #18 hotside, some catcams and 8.5 compratio spiced with large ic and tubularexhaustmanifold and twochamber intake, damn, why I sold my car (I have still the turbo and manifold and strokerbottom and some ross pistons on shelf)

http://www.gt-motorsport.net/1024/start.htm they use the garret gt4088 for 700hp........a classic rule,if you use big cams, use big turbos......it mean the the bottom end have to be well done!

What did this friend of yours had? HP and how was Torque in the RPM Range!

I tend to the HX40 with 16 ccm2 exhaust! I want ca. over 540 and under 600! I think it will be good! I dont want mechanical lifters so i will stay with the Stock RPM limitier at 7500 RPM! How do you think the ca. 2,5 liter stroker will spool this turbo?

                            Thanks
