You can't really setup a header effectively on a 5 cylinder to take advantage of it IMO. What I'm doing is rounding the divided housing out so air has a smoother path into the turbo.

Aha, would it not work if i was sending 3 cylinder to one side and 2 to the other or is it better to have all the gasses go to the collector and then again divided in 2 ?Go Holset or Go RS4Comment

if 2 and a half cylinder will go to the one side and 2 and a half to the other it would not be fine isnt it??
Got the Turbo today! Very nice HX40! it has a ca. 120 intake outer diameter!
The other one he had, had ca. 100 mm outer intake diameter! The wheel and the hotsides look almost the same! I think the turbo has only worked some hours, it is in an allmost new state! It is empty of oil and i think the small play the shaft has is normal!

I have stroker with HX40, 1,2bar comes from 3200rpm till 6500rpm, engine was only 400km after build so no more pressure was rised, this summer will try to boost ~1,8bar.
it was 405hp & 540Nm

Just out of curiosity how much must the clearnce be between the Turbine housing and the Turbine wheel? How much shaftplay is good for an almost new turbo without oil?

This is the other one he sold! Is has a small bump on the outer ring witch something easy repairable! A Friend wants it for a smaller displacement Drag car! I told him it is going to be very big and now he is considering about fitting it!
