Firstly, a question.......

How much BHP to get a SQ to do a 10 second standing 1/4?....coz I have that on video and it can shift

Secondly, a fact........

Audi quietly developed a mid-engined version of the SQ, with a full GRP/Kevlar body and wait for it.....1000BHP

The car was developed as a prototype for the still-born Group S category, which was supposed to replace Group B, before it was banned (ahh, the halcyon days of Group B eh?). It was built against the wishes of Ferdinand Piech and when he found out, he made them dismantle it in front of him

However, no one told Piech that actually there were 2 cars, so only one was destroyed. Walter Rohr test drove it and said that even out of the box, it was faster than the full race SQ and handles MUCH better! the surviving car is now in the Audi museum at Inglostadt...hubba hubba.

So to cut a long story short...it is possible and Audi

1st = Audi 200 IMSA racer (nicknamed the 2 ton turbo - clocked 217MPH on its first outing and supposedly good for 245MPH)

Of what I've read about this Group S modified S1 with 1000bhp, Walter Roehl said that it was almost undriveable on loose surface winding roads and that it was plagued with huge understeer when the gas pedal was applied to get the whopping 1000bhp...

well it looks like you've got hard evidence to prove it

At the end of the 80's Audi has tested 5 cylinder engines with over 1000 hp!
but they where never been used in races..
The Pikes Peaks had 720hp, the imsa gto had official 720 but in real it was about 800hp..

There is a lot of crazy Audi 5`s in Norway !!! KRB Tradings is probably the meanest with 6 speed sequential gearbox,WRC spec differentials and so on. The engine in the red URquattro is moved back quite alot so the car OVERSTEERS No understeer at all........Frode Jorgensen who has built and owns the red and the yellow S2 Coupe`s is probably the best Audi 5 banger tuner in Norway. And of course there is a S2 Coupe with a genuine IMSA engine in it

There is some films of the silver grey S2 Coupe on some Norwegian forums...........but i dont have any links to you at the moment im afraid. I have seen it at some track meets and i can honestly say it goes like sh*t !!!!!!!
