Does the thermoswitch in the bottom main rad have a seal?

    Well,

My thermoswitch has died and i bought a new. But i forgot to ask if I need a seal or if i can just screw out the old one in the bottom of the main rad and then screw in the new one?

They have a sealing copper ring, but it's part of the switch, so just screw in the new one.
