Thanks Bry. Did try a simple search, but couldn't spend all day in work looking through the results.

        Any thoughts

        http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FMIC-Turbo-Int...QQcmdZViewItem

Does anyone have any thoughts an the attached intercooler? The pressure loss seems about the norm at around 10%, is that correct? Anyone had any dealings with the seller. The intercooler looks very similar to the one Martinjs used but I don't know if it's the same seller.

how close was the intercooler to everything else. There is another one for sale which is 80mm diameter. Would ths be too much.

        Thanks

Greg, did you get yours from the same source in Oz or was it somewhere else? If you got it from Oz, what was shipping time like? Most of his negative feedback seems to be related to shipping delays.

              Thanks

I bought my intercooler from XS Power, ordered from eBay and delivered from the States in 3 days. Have a look at their eBay shop.

You mean 80mm outlets? cant see it being much of a problem. Quite a few people got them from the states like Steve says, Mark H, Tom, Doug etc, Jeffer got his from somewhere in Holland i think.
As far as positioning goes, mine is about 25mm from the crank pulley, still needed to trim the back of the lower vents in the bumper about where the outlets are (you cant see this anyway) and i actually removed the long centre vent altogether. Use the pic in Dougs thread to see the position for height, about flush with the top of the snub mount i think.
What sort of power will you be running?

I'm hoping for the late 300's something like 380. The real killer is that I'm trying to avoid changing the rods, but we'll see. I want it to be driveable rather than having lots of top end. The aim is to gradually buy all the parts over the next 2-3 months for assembly in July'ish (parents away, use dad's car).
Need to really decide what turbo to go for, RS2 or GT2871R, but I need to do more investigating. This will obviously have an effect on what happens to the exhaust, internal/external wastegate and hotside mounting. I have a list of parts I need just need to finalise which route.
