PS do injectors have a life expectancy and is it worth having 200,000 mile injectors cleaned or just replaced.

Get 'em cleaned & balanced by your local (or remote) friendly neighbourhood Bosch/ASNU agent. And yes new O-rings are a must when you refit them really.

                    Kevin,

Injectors don't have a life expectancy as such, however it is definitely a good idea to get them professionally cleaned by someone who uses the Asnu machine as this is the only injector machine that has approval by Bosch in Germany.

A proper injector service will involve flow testing the injectors to measure fuel flow rates, spray pattern analysis, leak testing, resistance testing etc. Ther injectors will then be cleaned in an ultrasonic bath for about 20 minutes and then flow tested again.

Assuming that the injectors have passed the tests after cleaning then new O rings should be fitted along with new filter baskets, spacers and pintle caps. The injectors are now ready to be fitted back in to the car.

Anything between £15 and £25 per injector, but do your homework first as there are some injector service centres around that are shall we say, not very professional

I'd just like to point out.
                          Once they're gone, they're gone.
I won't be getting any more - you can however buy direct via internet will cost you about £5 inc p+p for 10.
Its costing me £20 to get 110, and 90 are to be given foc in lumps of 10 to the first 9 who mail me with an sae. If you're number 10 or 11 or whatever - I'm sorry but thats just the luck of the draw - you will have wasted a stamp which I will no doubt steam off and re-use
The linky (if you wanna orxder direct) is:
