Hi i done a few test runs tonight on my hesitation or possible misfire problems. Heres what happens, when flooring at about 2k rpm it picks up nice but it hesitates and splutters through the 3k-4k rpm range (the boost gauge is going up and down between 13-18psi at his point) but then once past that it again picks up ok, although i think it could be better. It does this in every gear. Could it be a boost leak as around 3k rpm this is when im reaching peak boost pressure? Thanks for your help.
Test runs!

Just sent an email to MRC for a health check so hopefully they will be able to find the problem then. Would it still hold pressure after 4krpm if it was a boost leak?3'' Longlife Exhaust, Koni Adjustables, H&R Springs, Full RS2 Setup with Mr Nugents RS2 Chips

I found a cheeky boost leak where the DV is, split at the T bit there wasnt obvious untill i took the pipe off and bent it a bit. Quite difficult to see as the oilcooler was in the way. When i replaced that it cured exactly the same symptoms as what you have.

Steve, if you want to come over to mine on sunday we could run a leak test on it, I have a set of test bungs. Alternatively the air temp sender can cause a misfire at 3-4k so you couldcheck the connections to that.Comment
