Utterly agree on this - nicely spotted details by SteveH... Current catalog's call up the same parts but the 3B's were built with paper head gaskets and inferior conrod bearings. Definitely recommended for an RS2 conversion...

I don't think the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) has been mentioned yet - the FPR from the 7A engine is rated around 4bar - much more suitable for the RS2 injectors. Its a direct replacement for the 3B's FPR...

Definitely upgrade the fuel pump for headroom and renew the fuel filter.

Be wary of claimed RS2 turbo's - there are some scammers about. Search the forum for RS2 turbo part numbers - stamped on the plate and cast onto housings.

yep seems a lot of old KKK K26 from the UR are touted as Rs2 versions...buyer beware

That K26/29 looks a monster but boosting at 4500rpm I bet that all arrives in a hurry!

Anyone know the approximate cost of a K24 refurb and who to go to for one??? Mine is definately rubbing a bit on spool up, doesnt seem to affect power but...

3B rods are good for ~550Nm which is about right for an RS2 application.

Hotside of the proper RS2 turbo will be stamped with 5326-101-5160

I can't remember what is stamped on the cold side but its something like KKK24-7200

The correct compressor wheel is a KKK part number ending 2672.
