Termal switch: FAE 3581 or FAE 35810, open 100ºC and close 95ºC, I bought mine from here:

    And my pump
mine: Bosch 0392 020 039 (VW golf GTI/ audiTT) seems to be the same as:
    Bosch 0392 020 034 (Saab)
    Bosch 0392 020 024 (VW passat)
    Mercedes Part# 001 835 60 64

I repeat this items are straight fit, plug and play.

Euro Car Part number 201440245 is the same as 0-392-020-054 or Bosch 0392 020 039 (VW golf GTI/ audiTT). Basic cost without discount £109.20 but discount codes for 25 or 30% always around.

        Anyone have a cheaper source?

I hope you are just slightly confused because the way the switch is supposed to work is it should CLOSE at 100ºC and OPEN at 95ºC. There is power to the switch all the time (not igntion switched) and shorting the two wires together triggers the 324 after-run pump and fan relay.

Depends on whether you would rather replace a 1000 Euro turbo or a 100 Euro after run pump.

It depends on how hard you drive your car and how hot a climate you live in.

In over 200,000 Kms of driving my ABY engined car the after-run cooling pump has never kicked in, and yes, the pump and circuit does work I've checked. So for me, the pump is just coming along for the ride and I don't need it.

The pump comes on only after you've turned the ignition OFF and after a period of time which heat soaks the coolant temp up to 110C. It might have done that when you weren't around, i.e. in the house or in the pub after a brisk drive on a summers day.
