A stupid qiestion i know but can u get an oil filter for the s2 from somewhere like halfords? If so what one do i get? Also how much oil would i need? I got 5l of synta gold sitting in my garage will that be enough? Cheers

Get an OEM one from the stealers or GSF. They aren't expensive @ £7/£82001 Avus Silver B5 RS4.

I would go with Stealer items or VAGparts. As Jas says, they are very cheap. I keep one or two in stock so that I always have one when I need a change!

belive it or not i have used bmw e30 320-325 oil filter. Guess what it works on my aby. i had some spare left when i used have my bimmer E30 320i se. So i had a look at both oil filter they look the same. So i thought i give a try. it works for me.

5L will be enough! (you need 4.5 with a filter change )
I have never bought a filter from a dealer, so I cannot help you there I am afraid!
You never know though, I suspect it is a fairly standard filter. Perhaps one of the Part Guru's will be along in a minute to give you the correct part number that you can call up.
