If you go catch tank be prepared to empty it every 2-3 weeks unles you are going to drain back to sump.

S2avant recently pointed out (i didn't know this) you have to change your oil on more occassions if you drain to sump.

I'd go for the emptying option. You could always put a sight gauge on it, to keep an eye on the level.

Yep, I think I've worked out a way to do it.

We find out what the crank breather diameter is, say its 30mm then we get a 30mm Samco T piece which has a 25mm side branch. I make 2 reducers on the lathe, 1 @ 30 - 20mm for the T to flame trap and one @ 25 - 8mm? for the T to small pipe to the cam cover, sorted

I think I did a drawing when IU made the reducer, I'll have a look at work, if not I'll measure it Unless someone has their engine out

Just to double check I've got this right, I need to order 1b, 4a, 5a, 6, and Newsh's cunning reducer device will enable us to use Samco to replace 1a and 11a, thus keeping costs waaay down?

Yep I agree, mine needs a catch tank or the breather system sorting at some point.
