Will now all the info tomorow morning after I get back my parts.

This ruined my plan again to start in the next race. I used ony the finest parts avalible on the market and only got SPM rods in stead of Pauter becouse the avalibiliy (it was to be next day, Pauter was 4 weeks, it was almost 8 weeks with SPM) and lower pricing (will spend more now due to extra work with the engine and extra new parts needed to be used now with the rebuild and the money spend on machine work). Hope my sponsors will understand it and will not withdraw form financing the car.

This is the lesson for me and I hope after I take the rods form the workshop they will do their job. Next time I will use Pauter just like on all the other projects I have assisted and never had a problem with them.

It must be the bigend with is too great for the crank then. NEVER grind down the part of the rod between the big and small end!

Sorry to hear that you had problems. Hope you get tha sorted out.

The thing is a guy from a german Forum has used Carillos in his 1,8 T engine with such problems and said that the SPM rods that his Friend used in the same engine were perfect.

I Hope these problems are not in all Sets!

Maybe the people for the second Group Buy should wait for comments of the other SPM users.

That are the experiences from the other Rod manufacturers in Terms of fiting or further proccesing?

Anything new on your engine? Was it the Rods?

Anyone else has installed the SPM rods?

My SPMs have been fitted and the engine rebuilt. They balanced up fine, fitted to stock crank + RS2 shells no problems. And the engine turns over no problems by hand - are you using stock crank Albert?

This week she'll be fired up for the first time, hopefully without any problems!

                    Crank from PKMotorsport.

They had to be mached on the top a litle bit to fit to my CP Pistons
