It's not su much "wasting boost", more the fact that a load of air already measured through the MAF sensor suddenly leaves the system, causing the car to temporarily overfuel.

so if it temporarily overfueld then flames would spit out the exhaust due to the fuel/air mix at that time?! corect me if im wrong?!

it does't on mine mate,just a bit of black smoke.but i'm in the process of going with recirc and cone anyway as the dump valve on mine holds open a bit while cruising as if the spring isn't strong enough so it'll be overfuelling the whole journey
